Why do RPM's go to 2800 when slowing down.

Guys i have a 6 speed and when i start to stop and stop lights or whatever my RPM's stick at 25-2800 for a little bit and sometimes is seems like i have cruise control on cause my RPM's are sticking so high. please help with some advice.

2800rpm is a little high, but it's not too uncommon for this to happen in cammed m6 cars. Do a search, you should find a good amount on it. A lot is in the tune.

same thing happens to me.. but I've also been noticing i have a short somewhere because my rpms and speedo will go to 4000 and 60mph when I'm rolling down the street @ 3mph.... it only happens when the clutch it in, maybe that helps?
