Opionions please?!!
Im currently looking into a cam with 219I-228E dur, 525 lift on the intake and the exhaust with a 112lsa. I have Lt's, ported tb, custom true dual exhaust, a4 with 373's out back. My car is a DD and sees th track about every other week. What does everyone think? good cam? Will this cam give me a somewhat choppy idle? Will it give me decent power? Im still learning about cam setups. From what i can tell, i think this will serve the purposes im looking for. Thanks for any input you guys may have.
What you are looking for is the GM hot cam. It is available separate, or as a kit with springs. We are also offering this cam alone with lifters for $450 OR you can get the Cam kit with cam and springs and shims for for $476. We offer the Cam/lifter kit with free shipping to the continental 48 right now, the kit with the springs will still have shipping on it, but it is a flat rate of $18.75

A hot cam does not have stock idle. They actually sound pretty good but I agree if you are gonna do it go a littler bigger. The trade off is valve spring life. The Hot cam has a low lift and mild intensity lobes so your springs wear very well. Something like a TR 224 will give you more power for sure but with a higher intensity lobe you will have to change your springs more often.
