After recently seeing the performance and economy from Gen3 chevy engines, I think Im going to hop on the band wagon. I also have a friend who is letting go a 4.8L engine for damn cheap and Im thinking of getting it. What parts will swap from 4.8 to 5.3 to 5.7 to 6.0 or any other Gen 3 engine. Can you put a carbed ls1 intake on a 4.8? Thanks

 

damn near everything. you can even bore out the 4.8, stick the crank, rods and pistons from an ls1 into it and have an iron block 5.7.

 

ttt I think ive found some stuff but not sure on everything. Will ls1 heads bolt onto a 4.8 or 5.3?

 

you will loose allot of compression.
