Default my build

well im selling the lq4, cant afford a turbo setup this yr. Here is the parts i have ordered/am ordering:

ported 243 heads
arp headbolts
patriot dual springs
tsp 233/239 cam
ls6 oil pump
ls2 timing chain
pacesetter LT's, w/ ORY
ls6 intake mani w/ ported TB
underdrive pulley
LS7 lifters

i think that pretty much covers everything...anything i forgot to order that would help out? I am still unsure on what length pushrods i need, will i need 7.4's, or 7.425's? Thanks

Sounds like a nice combo. The 7.4'' push rods will probly be what you neen but a push rod length checker would be the best way of knowing. Don't forget the plugs for the rear of the heads and new front crossover tube when doing the intake. Also get some new lifter trays and a head and cam gasket/seal/bolt kit.

Some people grind the bottom of the intake for the ls1 coolant pipe. On the ls1 there is a tube that runs from the rear of the heads to the front and have coolant in them. With the flat bottom of the ls6 intake its a tight fit so gm has two plugs for the back head ports and a crossover in the front. I didn't like the idea of grinding the intake or smashing the tube in to the gally cover so I spent the 50$.

would i still need to get that although the ls6 intake mani is coming off of an '02 T/A instead of an actual ls6 z06 motor?

Ya your oem ls1 will have the pipe under the intake.

See the silver pipe on the pass side next to the knock sensor wires. That is what you will be removing. http://www.ls1howto.com/howto/geniii...//IMAGE010.jpg
