At 11:1 compression I wouldn't go over 5-7psi. The cam would definitely have to be changed.

What's the stroke on this motor? Max RPM the bottom end will handle comfortably?

an ls2 with afr heads cam stock intake made 572 with a waaaaaaayyy smaller cam.

I have to agree here...

this is a little weak for a 396 when a 346 is capable of over 600FWHP when you consider that they put down 500RWHP now a days...

But then again, if this was built years ago, you have to consider that that HP was a big deal a few years back. It was only 2003/4 when 450RWHP H/C was CRAZY numbers...
