Default LS1/LS6 How can I Tell?

Im going to look at a 2002 Camaro SS, and I was wondering how I can tell if it has the LS1 or LS6 by looking at it from the outside?

What is the difference? How can you tell? Is there a casting number visible?

f-bodies did not come with an LS6 engine or heads or cam. a large portion of the 01/02 cars did however come with an LS6 block. There are no performance gains from the LS6 block, just different cooling passages in the rear cylinders. You can only tell by reading the casting #'s on the driver side of the back of the block with a mirror. I do not have the #'s in front of me, but I'm sure you can find them on here if you look hard enough.
