Default Always knew there was a problem

Well first off the starter breaks off and starts this whole thing. About a month ago went out to start the car...heard a bang..starter broke off the motor cracked it..motor had 140k on it wanted a new motor anyway...not to big of a deal. I knew the car never made the power it was supposed to but still ran good stock motor with a 233/239 TSP cam ran 12.6 at the track. Well tore down the motor just to get everthing off it and found the piston was bent! Now it looked like that pistin wall was cleaner and had rust in it..thought maybe the gasket was going also. I dont know how long I ran it like this. I started to have oil pressure problems before the cam so I did a new pump when I did the cam and didnt help. Ive been driving like this for like 2 years...is that possible....pics

your cylinder was filled with water...which doesnt compress. the starter broke off b/c its the weakest link. the bent part is the rod btw. when you tried to start it, the piston tried to compress the water, which in turn bent the rod, and broke the starter off. happend to a friend of mine on his evo except instead of his starter busting off, the rod shot through the block lol.

You must have had a leaky headgasket, thats also why your oil psi was low...water + oil is a badddddd combo. destroys bearings

The oil pressure has been low before I did the cam like 6-7 months ago and there is never water in the oil always black. It started and then shut off...it was cold out..and when went to turn it over again is when it broke off. There was no water in the cyl even when we pulled the plugs.

lol well appears there was water in it at one point.. Damn that's a hell of a bend... Probably wouldn't have been long before you watched it bounce down the road beside you.

There has been water in the cylinder at one time that sat for a while. You can see rust all over the piston. Like was said above, water won't compress in the cylinder so something has to bend or break.
