You're splitting hairs,

If a cylinder runs lean it runs hot, more to the point the piston runs hot.

The steam tube modification comes from GMPP themselves who advise fitting them to quote .."improve cooling in cylinder number seven."

How many other ways is there to reason & say it?

Since they went metric from Gen 3.

actually thats exactly what i did i bought a junkyard 6.0 and installed it in my garage (with the help of ls1tech ofcourse) fired it up about a week ago it actually runs better than when i first got the car the only thing i havent done yet is install the procharger belt as i am waiting for procharger to get oil shipped to me but other than that shes ready to go
