i'm looking to go with texas speeds torquer v.3 cam kit with 231/234 .643"/.598" 111 LSA and it comes with the comp PRC springs and i'm wondering if they are a good spring or if i should stay away from them. or if this is even a good deal?

kit comes with Your Choice of Camshaft, Comp PRC Spring Kit, and Hardened Chromoly Pushrods for 689.99
is this a good deal or not the greatest?

There have been 2 instances in our local area of those springs taking a "set", losing height and spring pressure. There was another guy who had similar issues, he has a thread in the dyno section.
I'd look to PAC or PSI springs, personally.

I am not on anyone's side but all springs will lose a little amount of pressure when first run.
If you float a valve a lot you can lose a lot of spring pressure fast as well.
I have seen 1000.00+ springs lose some serious pressure in just a few dyno pulls a few times with craziness going on!
You just have to know everything about the application to know what went wrong if anything is all I am saying.

I run them with my .651 lift, Grate springs .never had any problems with them, But i change them out about ever 20,000 miles. But with your lift you can probably go longer, like 25 to 30,000 miles. It all how high you rev them.
Pac 1518 or PSI 1511ML
