Default forged pistons

i'm looking to install forged pistons and rods so i can run alittle nitrous and cause i have a 160,000 miles. I'm keeping stock displacement. Honestly i have no idea what to buy so i'm looking for some help. Which one's would i need and what needs to go with them for a complete install if i buy them from the website below? I'm also looking to install a cam if that matters.

I have mahle forged pistions and crowler rods from tsp with a -4cc. I would look in to a -2cc flat top. This would give some extra insurance with piston to valve clearence with larger cams. While you have the engine out you should give it a freshen up. New main bearings and get the bearings line honed and the cylinders honed. Also once you have the rods and pistons get the rotating assembly ballanced.

Best thing to do is call and tell them what your gonna do. They will get you set up with what you need. Before you go spending money you should have the block Checked out. Make sure the bore's ok and that you dont need a slight over bore before you spend money on the parts.

me and a friend of mine are doing the build our selves and my price range is small. I might not have enough for the cam thats why its a maybe but I should have enough for the pistons rods and accesories. My price range is also the reason for us doing it ourselves but he has built engines before. I'm looking for the price on forged pistons rods and everything I will need to install them correctly. And possible some good brands to consider. Just any info would help basically.

Take the stripped down block to a machine shop and have it checked and honed.

Basically what He said. Let a qualifed machinest look at the bore on the empty block and measure it for size. Then He will check and see if it the cylinder is out of round. I have seen engins with 60k look brand new and measure near perfect. and i have seen other ones that have only 20k on them that are making noise, burning oil, and what not, because the cylinder is out of round.

The right way to do it is to disassemble what you have and measure it first. Then you will know what The correct size parts are that you will need.
