but wait a minute. you purchased an OIL PUMP right? i mean i see this happening when you buy maybe a pickup tube, but no where posted on their site does it say "hey everyone but Aaron91RS gets this magical GM oring, just so he can post and flame on about how the world hath wronged him. oh woe is the day". do you get mad when the women you meet dont already come with babies in them?

Drop down menu was a good idea, so this doesn't happen again. Not worth bashing TSP over a stupid o-ring. After all they are one of the most highly recognized sponsor on this site due to great customer service and quality parts.

I wouldn't use a "Harbor Freight" o-ring in such a critical and often screwed up component. That o-ring causes more grief upon mis-install than anything else on these engines.

Including the O-ring would have been nice of Texas speed though. I ordered a water pump from a different site a few weeks ago and it came with the 2 gaskets.

no chit. he uses an off the wall o ring, even if the specs are identical, id be skeptical in such a crucial area.

I read though it all, I was just saying it should be included at no cost to the customer. It is irritating to get though a cam install then realize you don't have a part costing pennies (I know from my days in paintball that the cost to produce an o-ring is nearly nothing). I know you said it's in the related parts on the oil pump section, but those can be confusing, they almost look like google ads or something. When I did my cam swap I believe I bought the H/C gasket pack from you all and it included one. It's been a while since I did it though so I can't be sure.

Thread has run its course and further.

Closing thoughts: If your pump doesn't come with an o-ring, you can purchase one from your local dealership or favorite parts vendor for your specific application. I would not recommend reusing your o-ring, anytime it is removed; it should be replaced automatically.
