Wanting to build a sleeper combo
I want my car to be a sleeper with around 360 to 380rwhp i already have all the bolt ons and a stall on my 02 ws6 and was thinking of useing PRC ls6 stage 2.5 heads from texas speed and a stock ls6 cam and maybe a fast 90/90 and i know some people will say why dnt you use a bigger cam and for now i want the car to just sound and look like a bolt on car but run like a camed car what do you guys think about this combo? My car right now made 330rwhp and 324rwtq i havnt run it yet cause the track hasent opened up on a day when i was free

Good choice on parts but stepping up the cam will help you tremendously. Get something like a tr 220 or 224. Anything close to that and make sure it is ground wide on a 114 or close to that and then you can raise the idle up to 950 rpms to hide the lope. My buddy did all what I just stated and the car runs 11.60s at the track on motor and it idles like stock. It runs 10.50s on a 150 shot. We took a shitload of money from people on the streets.

If you are going to spend that kind of money on heads, get a custom grind cam that makes great power and no one will no you have. From what I hear Patrick G. is the man. I am planning on the same, but on a budget. I have the ls6 cam, and bolt ons minus ls6 intake, and plan on going with 243 heads to get me around 385 range, my car is a m6 though. Buddy of mine put down 370 ls6 cam and bolt ons, (same guy that tuned his car tuned mine) his cars numbers on here somewhere. So I don't see why a cam alone with a good tune can't put you where you want to be even though it's an auto.

Good luck with your decision man

The LS6 cam will be a good choice for you. This will allow no difference really in idle sound. I imagine you could get away with a comp cam or equivalent with in 224 area with a wide LSA like a 117 or 118. It would sound stock, but run much faster. Good luck.

Go for a custom spec Stealth cam!! I had PatrickG and PredatorZ spec me one (one w/ L92's and the other with LS1 heads).
It will sound ALOT like stock and perform in the 400 range, if not more. TR cheatR cam puts down 390-405hp with these specs:
214/230 .601/.575 117 LSA
The two i was spec'd are:
224/236 .612/.607 117+2 LSA w/ 5.3 heads
218/230 .595/.600 116+3 LSA w/ L92's
TSP is selling custom spec cams for $370 about the same price you will pay for a new one, so why not man.

LPE has a nice stealth cam. It's called the GT2-3. Idles smoother than the LS-6 cam and makes better power. That cam and a nice set of AFR heads and you'll be set for a real sleeper.
I have a TR220-114 and while it idles nice at 900 rpm and drives nice, you can still tell the car is cammed. TR does have the OMC which may be something to look at.
Good luck.
