working on a swapped car, bought a 6.0 out of an escalade as a starting point. anyways, i got the short block back and started assembling it. found out i have a truck windage tray. question is, can it be used with a f-body oil pan? or do i need the f-body tray to match it?

Pretty sure you need an F body tray AND pickup for it.

I used the truck windage tray with an f body pan and f body pick up tube on my 6.0 build. It had to be modified a little to work, but it worked for me.

 

I have a Fbody tray I'd be happy to trade you for your truck tray if you want.
