If you had a cam with stock lsa and duration but had more lift would you have a stock sounding idle? Is it the cam duration and cam timing that give the rumble or chop?
So would rocker arms with 1.80, 1.82 compared to 1.70 give you the same duration and cam timing just more valve lift?

The higher ratio rockers would affect duration at .050" lift, so you really can't say the duration would remain stock. What affects idle quality is the overlap of the cam, not really the lift. The more overlap a cam has the choppier it gets. Higher ratio rockers on a stock cam, you would be hard pressed to hear the difference.

I didn't think so, I'm installing a set of stiffer springs on my stock turbo LS1 and found a deal on a set of 1.8 ratio roller rockers. So I'm going to install those with the springs, I know a camshaft will be a better option but I'm not wanting to install one at this time. More lift with similiar duration I think will work well with a turbo.
