The comp R series lifters are in the car now, have a question
I ended up taking my motor apart to take those Schubeck lifters out, "what a pain those were" anyway now im back to the comp series lifters and bought the new JeseL rocker set up (mohawks) I still have 7.350 push rods and what to know how to adjust these since I have alot of preload now...It seems that when I back the adjustment allen head all the way out that there is a small amount of tension still on the push rod, you can turn it with your finger but I can't get no lash...Does this mean I have to go with a 7.300 push rod? Just wanting to know as I want to get this FREAKIN adjustment right without breaking a lifter or ****** up some cam lobes...
Thanks for your info!!!

One way is to run a shorter pushrod. In your case
I think you need to go with a shorter push rod as
you seem to be completely out of lash adjustment.
If you had some adjustment left in the rocker,
then I would feel a little better about suggesting
that the rockers be shimmed up.
Have you considered shimming up the rockers?
That may get you where you want to be.
Careful for valve cover clearance, and good thread
engagement in the rocker system bolts/studs AND
in the preload adjuster.
Which ever way you get your geometry back, you
should have the rocker-to-valve-stem contact marks
in the center of the valve stem. Contact too high
or low, is one indicator of improper valve train
geometry, and often times, so is breakage
