Default ls1 DOD Block question

i have a 2008 6.0 block, it came out of a vehicle with displacement on demand. i was wondering if it could be modified to use or if anything was different with it. any info please.

You will have to replace the lifters, trays and use a diff cam/timing set and valley cover. that one should also be set up for VVT. You can still run the VVT, comp has some grinds available. Just make sure to get the phaser locking part so you can lock the cam phaser in case you do not have the ability to use it. Or you can go with a regular cam and timing set. Just swap the top cam gear, the timing chain, and a regular cam. A pushrod change would be recommended. If you are going NON VVT then you will want to change the front cover as well or make a block off plate.
