Absolute Heads rock! Just back from the track

Absolute Heads rock! Just back from the track
I built my own motor in my garage. It is a stock 6.0L block (no overbore), 5.7 crank, Comp cam (232/234 .595/.598 112), and Absolute Speed 5.3L heads. The motor has about 30 miles on it. I was hoping for 11.5s during the shake-down runs.
The setup really exceeded my initial expectations. I have no tuning yet! Ran three 11.2s at 119 and my best 60-foot was 1.50! I am quite happy with this. Autotap showed 2-3 degrees of KR during the passes. May be running too much timing for the pump gas and 11:1 CR. Need to get on the dyno ASAP!
Believe the car is good for 10s on the motor and then the spray comes

Re: Absolute Heads rock! Just back from the track
awesome.. with my TEA heads and 93 gas im running 26degrees... I dont believe we saw any gain from going to 28-29 on the dyno
awesome ET's... it will take ya a few to get the hang of the car then you will be back on track
my first passes this year only saw 11.5@119 on a crappy 1.65 with the TEA's...
im to broke to go back to the track now
good luck man and awesome results.. AS heads rock

Congrats Todd, glad you got it running again and able to race it. Were you able to figure out your missfire problem ok?

Thanks Guys \
Alan...the misfire was due to the plugs for two of the injectors. My car has seen so much work, that the wires were just worn out.
If you run into any mysterious misfires in the future, check those injector plugs for good 12v current. My meter showed 12v, but whe the wires was tweaked a little, the voltage would drop to 0. I took the connectors apart and rewired and soldered everything back together. Voila! Misfire gone!
See at the shootout in a few weeks! No spray this time

Awesome Todd .. Jay does great work his heads flat out rock. I was at his shop some time ago when he was working on your heads and he was very happy with the way they came out. 10's are just around the corner for ya.
