Turns out, its an Iron block. Still good with me. Up untill this time I ran a breather on each cover. I just put on a rev-xtreme catch can the day before I started it. Never even got a chance to even run it with the can system.

Yea, TSP has some good stuff in stock. Diamond and Wesco. It's tempting, but I think with me separating from the service here in the next month and becoming jobless it would be smart to stay budget for now. In addition, its the worst possible timing as far as where it happened. Stock internals will be more than enough for now. I will get my rod bolts transfered over to the LQ9 (just found out it wasn't an LQ4) , along with the oil pump and pan and everything else on the top end. I just hope that we can figure out what caused this crap to happen. Hopefully it was just a head gasket (which would make this my fault). Anyway, I'm still in the game

Just make sure they measure PTVC, LQ9 is flat top slugs and has no valve reliefs. (better than LQ4).
BTW, no need to tap for a third alternator hole, I have a 370ci and never did that. no issues.
It should make good power with that combo.

Are your heads milled? If not you might get by without flycutting using stock MLS 6.0 gasket.
Let them measure clearance first and make your decision. It is always better to keep the pistons unmolested if you can.

Good, If they have 2.02 valves, you won't need flycutting. Still measure nonetheless.
If you can get the shop to degree the cam, you'll benefit from that. TV3 is a real good trq grind provided it is at said ICL. Sometimes the grind is off a bit. (true for any cam)

Welcome to the Florida hydrolock club. The engine in my Formula did the exact same thing on 6/3/07, right around 3 months after I bought it. I have pictures in the formula build thread link in my sig on the first page.
I'm pretty sure that is what happened to mine. The line runs perfectly down hill and when I tore part of it apart I noticed that.
