gas in oil again!
I just got done rebuilding my engine because I spun a rod bearing due to gas in oil. That was a fresh motor with only 1000 miles on it. I just got my car going again and noticed I was using a lot of gas. So when I got back home I checked my oil. It did not look overfull but it smells like gas. I don't want to trash another motor. I put another set of fuel injectors on the car incase they were leaking and I checked my fuel selinoid for my nitrous kit and its not leaking. Could just my rings not seated yet cause this problem? I don't think its my tune since there's not any black smoke from my exhuast. What do I need to do? Please help. I have a pinks all out race in a couple weeks.

My wideband has not come in yet so I don't know my afr. Normally when you are running bad rich you will have black smoke coming out of your exhuast. I pulled one of my plugs and it looked a little lean but not too bad. I also did a compression check on it and I had 150 psi. I would think that is good and my rings seated on my motor. I haven't changed my oil yet from break in. I have only put about 100 miles on it maybe. What do yaw think?

thanks I will try it tommorrow. I just read that I would of had the tb blade open to let air in and also let the motor turn over for 30 sec to get oil on the cylinder to get an accurate reading. Any info on this?

Did you ever find out how fuel got in your oil in the first place? You don't have a vacum fuel pressure regulator? Do you??
Just crank the engine over until the compression gauge stops climbing. Normally 3-4 seconds or so. Also...You either have a huge cam with lots of overlap or your rings have not seated at all. normal compression should be 175+
