Fireball are you working with a shop or cam manufacturer to spec out that cam?

I ran a 236/240//111 in 2000 in a 346ci and it was neat.

I'll be curious to see how big a cam you can actually fit given your head milling and valve reliefs. Go big though you have lots of gear and lots of compression

Cheers,
Chris

with a shop (not affiliated with this board) that deals directly with a cam manufacturer...

Stop speculating and get this cam in the car and the beast on the dyno! I'd love to hear the results. On a side note, I just read about some Patriots that have no milling but a 59cc chamber.. something to think about with a large cam. Good Luck!

Cheers,

I completely agree with your lift theory. I dont think over .560 on a hyd cammed LSx gains much. Sounds like a cool setup. I dont think you will gain much by going with the 109 over a 112, but damn it will sound cool .

How will a 250/244 on a 109 +6 in a solid roller 346 sound? It'll be running this weekend... Hopefully have some dyno graphs next week.
Is that a typo? +6???

That is a 103 ICL.

No typo.

I think Geoff is having fun experimenting with my car. Can you tell? If it doesn't work out well, I'll stick a different one in. No big deal.

Track/Dyno.. either or Should sound and run mean. I'm running a 240/246 110lsa in my 1984 z28 pushin a t-56 idling around 950rpm. Different animal completely than an LS1, but it pulls hard from 2500 all the way to shift point at 6700-6800rpm. Me thinks if you can get tuning worked out, you are going to love this cam. Keep us posted.

Good Luck,

We have many other cams to try if you want to leave the car.

I'll be putting your motor back in Saturday. Dyno #s coming that evening or first thing Monday. You know, I could take it to the track Wednesday if you want. lol

probably will scrap this idea now since the NHRA so nicely has decided to change the T-top rule for 04. Don't want to make the car run faster than 11.0 since I'm NOT going to put a jungle gym in the T/A

The NHRA cage rule actually applies to 11.99 and faster doesn't it? I beleive the IHRA is 11.49 and faster. 10.50s shouldn't creat any more NHRA compliance issues than you have now. I would invest in a cage any how. We have on in the wifes daily driver SS and with removable swing out bars, you don't even know it's there other than a slight weight addition. Don't give up yet

no...car has a rollbar thats right now legal to 10.00. But with that gay-*** new rule...it'll only be legal to 11.00 come Jan 1 2004.

All this because its a T-top car

I agree it's gay Brian..but make a car that will do 11.0's when you let off at the end and not one that takes it ***** out.
