pushrod length i want to order the ms3 cam package today from tsp with the prc .660 spring kit. what size pushrods do i need with stock 853 heads? thanks in advance.
Not to up on these motors much but should be the same for any motor....it depends on a bunch of things, deck height...if the heads or deck have been cut before, head gasket thickness, etc.....Correct way to find out is use an adjustable pushrod, and then order the right size from there...Asking what other people use will just get you in the ballpark
Touchy topic right now. A lot of discusion as to what pre-load to run for safe, queit operation, as well as some variance between what the math shows, and what real measurement shows on guessing. Most likely, since you are shrinking your base circle, you will want longer pushrods. I would imagine most people advising between 7.4 and 7.45, though i cannot tell you which would be best.
