Default ptv clearance

im putting a tr224 cam in my 5.3 with a set of 706 heads, i want to mill my heads .030. will i have a problem with ptv clearance? any recommendations for pushrod length so i can at least drive it until i measure and buy the correct length, its my DD? thanks

You always have to measure PTV yourself. There are no excuses after your engine kills itself.

You can't just guess on a pushrod length, and you can't ball park it till you have time to check it. This is an important measurement that if work by enough will break things. As far as the PTV again to know for sure you need to check it, what is the lsa of the cam? There re many variables that effect this including headgasket, cam specs, valves, etc. People want to help on this forum but there are things that you can't get a quick answer for. If people didn't want to help you they wouldn't take the time to type all this and tell you that you need to check these things. The only shot you have is if someone did a build like you have and they did all the checking, then it might be close.

Incorrect, hyd lifters have about .200" of plunger travel. 7.400" pushrods will work on 99% of cars on this forum that have stock rockers and lifters. They may not be 100% optimal, but they will work just fine without any issue.
