Maybe I'm just too used to the SBC's... I just figure that 230cc's is WAY too much for a non-stroked LSx to be used as a daily/street machine. If I was going all out up to 7k, I would say yeah, but it just seems like you'd loose a lot of torque with such large runners. I was looking around and found a company Direct Motion that does a core exchange CNC porting for either 243/317 castings for $250 each with 220cc intake runners and 86cc exhaust... flowing 309 at .600 and 316 at .650

Anyone heard of this company Direct Motion or know how any of their work is? From their site, it looks pretty decent. They do the CNC work for those procomp heads...

YGBSM, PRED!

I just noticed you response.

Are you are really recommending gasoline as a cleaner/solvent?

As most folks know, that is an extremely unsafe thing to do. To recommend it to your host of young, loyal followers does them a great disservice. To recommend it be done with the engine still in the car which is probably in a garage is, IMO (which is NEVER humble), unconscionable.

I think you are stepping on you tie big time here, Fella.

Tell ya' what. You delete that recommendation and I will delete this post, assuming it doesn't get deleted for me.

GM Top Engine Cleaner on a rag. It was designed for that. With pistons out soak the tops in a Coffee can of it and just wipe.
