ported 5.3 MS4 PTV
I did a search and cant find anything. I'm looking at adding ported 5.3 heads and an MS4 to a stock cube forged lower end.
1. Are there any PTV issues will fly cutting take care of?
2. What pushrods will be needed? (cant have it down for long. F-ing HOA)

If you are going forged the pistons should have a valve relief which will give you enough room to run the heads with that cam. PR length would probably have to be measured, i would want to mill those heads and throw some more compression in a motor like that.

It's been established, if he has aftermarket pistons, his PTV should be fine... always good to measure.
as the above said, check the rocker swipe with a adjustable pushrod.,, only way to be sure you valvetrain geometry is good. otherwise, you'll end up with a noisy unstable valvetrain, and worn out valve guides.

If you are flycutting, I would mill them down to 59-60cc to set the compression up around 11:1. At the point that you are flycutting, there is no reason really not to. These motors respond really well to compression so why not go ahead and get as much as you can but keep it friendly enough for the pump.

Are you putting larger than stock valves in the heads (wasn't stated in OP)?

Was gonn try to keep stock size valves in it. Would there be any PTV problems in no flycutting or milling was done? Aren't they the same config as 243 just smaller combustion chambers?
