Default comp cam swap

hey guys i just got putting in a comp cams 277 283 588 598 112 lsa cam and what debating on what size pushrod i ordered a push rod length checker from texas speed and it supposed to come today but didnt so i called them and they said its coming directly from comp cams to it mite be tom are wednesday depends. So my question is what size push rod to order cuz i kinda need to get my car done and running again. Does anyone have this same cam setup, oyea and im running stock heads with PAC beehive springs to. Anyone help please if at all id like to oder them asap like tonite

228/234 .588/.598 112 LSA XE-R cam
Either 7.400 for light preload or 7.425s for a bit more. (both will work, 7.425s will be a bit quieter)

ya but do u have stock heads and stuff are what do u got that i dont have??

I was identifying the cam and suggesting to you pushrod sizes if yours is a cam only (stock heads, stock gaskets)

yes stock heads and stuff ummm but wont the valve open to fast and to far

Generally they'll send you some 7.400s, but the base circle is smaller than stock, so, to keep the pre-load close to the same, I always recommend the 7.425 like Pred mentioned.

On my car, I milled the heads .024, used a thinner gasket, and 7.400s. IMO, it achieved the proper pre-load. On my previous car, with just a cam, and the 7.400s, the valve train was noticeably louder.

i have 7.425s in now and i just started it up the first time and the motor sounded like a loud sewing machine and ticking
