I love that Maverick. What made you ditch the ford motor?? Not that I blame you.

Welcome to the jackstand racing club my friend. Mine was running and driving for less than a month and I tore it all back apart because I wasn't "feeling it". I thought my wife was gonna shoot me with my own gun.

I've always considered myself a GM guy, but have liked most Ford body styles (just hated their motors). I hate distributors almost as much. The Mav is a "cheap" fastback that's plenty light. I guess I should be more open-minded now that the aftermarket has provided Ford smallblock heads that flow 330+.

Most guys use the box. It is a super easy install and ends up costing less than the front drive distributor setup. Plus there is way more adjustability. Just be sure to get the msd one not the edelbrock.

I drove mine around for a year with the carb setup. Drove great. Had a holley 750 vac secondary at first, then a demon 750 double pumper. Now im converting to EFI to see how much better it is. My setup is extremely streetable even though its a little radical.

Here's a pic with the old holley, modes are in my sig

Has 4.56s and 30" tires, no paint, who needs paint

Before the shotgun street scoop

The new EFI seutp, will be running same shotgun street scoop, doesnt looks a whole lot different

Wow I would definatly get a cowl hood of something other than that scoop. Im sorry if I offend but I could never have a scoop sticking out of my hood.

Eh it functions much better and everyone has cowl hoods. Plus is matches the headlights. The car is going to be sunset orange metallic with a black spoiler, that scoop is going to be black and the butterflies are going to be sunset orange metalic.

I like the scoop. It kinda goes with the theme of the car. Does it have filters in it? Shawn I think that is the first time I have seen the whole car. I love that year 67 right? I always thought the 69 looked stupid with the small grille.

I know it's injected but I was going for a carby look when I put it together.

Cheers

If I ever gi injected I will def. keep the carb style intake. It just looks so sweet. Then there is the performance advantage too.
