Default Question on using thread chaser

I'm going to be putting in new valve seals and would like to clean out the rocker bolt threads. I remember last time I had the rockers off some of the bolts could not be threaded in very far by hand. They weren't stripped or crossthreaded, but required light pressure with a ratchet to thread all the way in. Do I need to put any kind of grease on the thread chaser to catch debris, or do I just run it in dry?

If these are stock heads, the holes are blind. I would chase them dry then clean out the debris from the hole when done. Some stuff will stick to the thread chaser itself. If you grease up the threads, your torque reading when re-installing the rockers will not be correct, or put another way, it will need to be corrected for the lubricated threads.
