Default Camshaft help

Well this is the Dilema, 1998 Ls1 only 11,000 miles installed it in my 56 belair with 3" exhaust, 6 speed, 9" ford rear end with 4:88 gears. I want to change the cam and am needing some advice. I want to have a nice healthy radical sound and have been thinking of the magic stik from Texas speed with the 600/609 lift 112 seperation. Any thoughts on this cam and should I replace pushrods, springs and lifters while I have the top end off of it?

Yes you have to replace the push rods and springs..

Would sound nasty for sure and work well in a weekend cruiser.

+1 for that cam. Call Jon Reynolds at TSP and he'll hook you up with everything you need. I would also consider upgrading the oil pump, the 98-00 have been notorious for the pump just failing randomly. Its cheap insurance to keep that engine running. Push rods and springs are must though with that cam.
