I'm not going to contribute to your ridiculous posts any more but to say this. If you think there are negligible gains to be made in HP by going to the LS6 over the original LS1 intake you are plainly wrong.
SO SHOW ME

I have been asking this the entire thread, but no one can do so!

If you think there are negligible gains to be made in HP by going to the LS6 over the original LS1 intake you are plainly wrong.
So show me! Don't just tell me! There are CONTRADICTING opinions on the LS6 intake and how much gain you get on LS1 heads. So I'd like to see PROOF. Not just opinion.

If you don't have any, STFU and stop acting stupid.

Please try to gather a little more information first and you won't come off like such an assclown.
I'm trying to gather information! Have you not seen me asking for information? Asking for dyno sheets? Asking for PROOF? I am CLEARLY trying to gather information, and I'm being attacked by assclowns like you who can't deliver.

The INTAKE port openings on the LS6 AND LS1 heads are the same, so what is this BS from you that the LS6 intake doesn't match LS1 heads? What the hell are you talking about?
Don't the LS6 heads have a different intake shape?

I hate to say it, Bud, but JRP knows his stuff, as has been evident by his responses to several (read: many) threads posted in any number of the technical forums. I suggest you not argue with a rather well-known, and proven, fact. Good luck proving otherwise, though.
Are you all trying to top eachother on how stupid you can make yourselves look?

I'M NOT ARGUING WITH ANY FACTS! Actually, I don't see any facts being posted I'm not trying to prove anything. If any of you morons had actually read my posts, you'd see that. So shut up.

But the POINT is that I've never SEEN any numbers from the LS1-LS6 intake swap.

Have you seen any? Where did you see them? Can you show me?

This is all I'm asking!

PLEASE SOMEONE SHOW ME HOW MUCH HP LS6 INTAKE MAKES. IF IT IS GOOD, I WANT TO PUT ONE ON MY CAR PLZ K THX

already posted that, and the car has ported heads.

and z98, who the **** just has a stock car then swaps an ls6 intake and dyno's, not many people. most people install there intake when doing other mods as a collective gain so your gonna have a hard time finding just an ls6 intake dyno.

Actually the question is about stock LS1 heads, regardless of other mods.

my car's trap speeds were consistently higher with the LS6 intake, by about 1 - 1.5 mph. So I knew it made more power. Timeslips are proof enough for me.

I dynoed with bolt-ons and the only change being the LS6 Intake and went from 338rwhp and 348rwtorque to 346rwhp and 358rwtorque.

Well I have some people that say it is worthless with 98-00 heads.

I have some people saying it gives 10 hp.

And still other people saying to expect 25 hp.

So which is it? With a high lift cam, it looks like it will flow a bit more (most of the CFM gains were at +.5 in lift). With ported/01/02/LS6 heads it looks like it will flow a whole lot more.

But with a stock cam and stock heads, it doesn't look like it will give much gain at all.

So I don't know. There are some people (the +25 hp people) who say this has been proven time and again on the dyno. Where? If this is common knowledge, it should be easy to post up proof. I mean, how did it get to be common knowledge? If everyone "knows" the LS6 intake makes a lot more HP than the LS1 on pre-01 stock heads, how did everyone get to know this?

I'm gonna agree with bigeller. LS6 intake should be the last bolt on you should do. He seems to be the ONLY person who has tested every combination of LS1/LS6 heads/intakes, and the results say LS6 intake doesn't help LS1 heads that much.

If anyone one can show some decent HP gains, I'll be more than happy to change my mind about this.

In fact, I hope the LS6 gives a good HP gain over stock.

sigh...
