Default X1 Vs. MS3

Hello,

I currently have a cam only MTI X1 230/227 .591 .571 112 lsa, and have a chance to trade for a MS3 on a 113lsa. MY torque is already low, and I know the MS3 is known to make low torque too.

I will be adding a ported 90/90, 85mm MAF, and new injectors regardless.

I have a PI Vig 3200 converter, and will be running at least a 100 shot via my NX wet kit.

What are your opinions?

Anymore input? Since I'm getting it retuned I figured it would be fun to swap to something else. I can also add some 5.3's in the future.

basically cam only fast x1 vs fast ms3, two low torque cams. lol

What are your SAE numbers? Track times? I'm taking my car to the 1/8 (all we have) when the NO2 is finished.

to OP, with MS3 youre on a quest for hp numbers, not torque...Its a cam with proven high hp results.

how high do you have to rev the MS3 i've got a 3200 stall waiting to go in so I'd go with the MS3 low torque thats why you've got the shot helps out with low end torque.

i got a 3000 stall the i use to rev it about 1500 to get it going but now that i have the cam it takes off when i let go of the brake..im gonna go with a bigger stall..3400-3800 around that range

LOL, I think he meant MS3
I guess I have the ms2 though... I think its definitely very DD friendly, not sure on hp numbers yet still have to get it dyno'd, I'm on stock gear it definitely will need a tune to make it street friendly!

I'm keeping the X1. The deal fell through. FYI, I just sent the intake off to get ported today. Should be tuned and installed as soon as I get it back. Will post results asap.
