Default knock sensor Q

I had the intake off and decided to change the knock sensors since it was off and they looked bad. I did this and put everything back together and now I have an SES light. Its for the knock sensor. Any idea why?

Maybe the harness is damaged, that is the second leading cause for the Knock Sensor codes. It gets pinched under the intake and damages the wiring.

Did you run the wiring the same route? Could be the plastic lips on the bottom of the intake crushed one? If you cut them off with a chisel when doing the intake, then all I can think of is that one didn't get plugged back in right.

I didn't want to plug off the holes in the back so I just cut mine off with a chisel, took me maybe 20 minutes and I had all of them off the was in the way of the tube and wire route.

Kind of like this guy did.

i basically just followed the indention on the foam on the ls1 intake to see where the lines layed. I used the hammer and chisel method, did it in about 5 minutes.
