Fast 92 or Ported Heads
I have a Polluter cam going into my 01' Z06 and my stock intake and stock LS6 heads are not going to give the cam the air that it needs to get the benefits from it. So help me choose. Should I port my LS6 heads out or should I get a Fast 92/92 setup. I also really want to get nitrous but I want the all motor portion to be effective before I go with nitrous.

There is more power in the heads. I would get heads done first. Same boat like me. Wait until u came save more $$, but heads would give you better results. You should already have an LS6 intake. Should flow pretty good for now. But I know what u mean about a ported fast.
I just bought AFR 205 last week and I have an LS6 Intake too.

+1 for getting your heads worked.
Funny, I picked up a set of AFR 205's about two weeks ago. Milled to 62cc. I've been debating on the FAST setup also. I need to put a rear under the car before i get all giddy about making more power though. She's been trying to do the one tire fire lately, and i REFUSE to spend a dime on the 10 bolt

I would certainly recommend going with heads first. We have dyno-tested the FAST 92/92 setup on a heads/cam package over a stock LS6 intake and LS1 throttle body. The 92mm setup will be good for 15 FWHP, but porting your existing heads will be good for 35-40 FWHP! If you want to use your existing 243 castings, you could send them to us for complete porting, valve job, etc.! I am not sure how big the Polluter camshaft is, so we would need to know before I could recommend going PRC stage 1.0 vs. 2.5 LS6 heads. Both PRC heads will use the same intake and exhaust ports, but the stage 1.0 will use stock 2.00"/1.55" valves vs. the 2.02"/1.57" stainless steel valves in the stage 2.5 heads. If you send your cylinder heads in to us, you will save $200 off of the prices listed on our website.
If you are considering aftermarket castings, I would highly recommend the PRC 215's. They retain stock p-to-v clearance, and we have dyno-proven results against other cylinder heads that you will find very interesting. They offer a 6-bolt design should you ever want to use them on an LSX block in the future, and they also offer thicker decks for nitrous or boost applications. The PRC 215's also do not require aftermarket rocker arms like some other brands do.
Feel free to give us a call. Any of our sales guys will be able to help you out, and we will be happy to go over all of your available options with you.
Thanks!
