Wow ,never seen or heard of that cam.

Whats the verdict on the amount of cam overlap? I trust Pred-Z's calculations so much, I didn't even double-check when I posted.

Not knocking the cam..just curious on what lobes it is running. Its has an unusual split, but I am sure it serves its purpose.

Just trying to learn here.

sounded like a good cam when i was reading about it in the gm catalog. something mild with a choppy idle is all i wanted. it works well for me. next are the 799 heads im porting intake and stall.

Wow, doesn't sound like 17* overlap, if indeed it is on a 108 LSA. Sounded good actualy.
The calculations are correct if on 108 LSA (WeathermanShawn) 17*
First time I see this one.
I saw Hot cam (didn't pay attention to stage 2) actualy it doesn't say Hot Cam on site it just says stage 2 (unless I missed something again...)
Hot cam is 219/229 112LSA, 0* overlap.
What exhaust do you have on?

Sounds good, maybe because it was in open air. Do you have any dyno results?

Predator, just curious, how does this sound compared to your cam spec'd
230/230 .612/.592 111+2 LSA
Chop, lope, I can't tell the diffrence, this cam sounds good and am hoping yours will sound similar.

i will. just have to get the rest done first. i just picked up my valve springs last night. so ill finish porting this weekend and get those on. i just need to find an ls6 intake and pick up a torque converter. then ill be off to get tuned. im hoping to get at least 400rwhp.

Tuning makes all the difference in the world with idle. I noticed when I installed flow matched injectors my car idled much smoother. My car has over 10 degrees of overlap and idles smooth, you cannot even hear it loping inside the car. Exhaust also makes a huge difference, through my slp dual dual it is very tame. With the cutout open it sounds like a dragster.
