Default Do I need new springs with this cam.

Im looking at geting this cam 226/228 .569/.571 113.
Do I need to do a spring swap or can i use my stockers.

And we happen to use them in alot of our builds. And we have them at a pretty good price as well....they are a quality spring that is for sure

change them out for assurance also you dont want to float valves or cause coil bind due too much lift

Change them for dual's if you can afford it or get pac 1218's at least.

Never ever reuse stock springs if you put a different cam in the car.

comp 918 springs, **** that dual spring stuff. im not down to change my springs out every 15k miles

The Pac spring works really well & we stock plenty of them. I don't know what Pozesd99 is talking about changing springs out every 15k miles. I'd worry more about a single spring than a good double IMHO. For example our EHT spring kit has been tested for over 20,000,000 cycles with right at 1% of pressure lift! In that amount of time you'd have replaced these single springs many many times....

I was talking to jon and he told me to go with a comp 918 spring and 7.4 chromoly pushods,so now im confused on which spring to go with this cam.

PAC 1218 everytime over the uneven Comp 918 history. PAC makes a superior spring IMO.
