Does this sound right? Is it possible?
Schwanke Engines has a short block + long block combo for $6300. I emailed them asking what they thought it would dyno and how much rwhp it would get, here is the response.
"Depending on what intake & throttle body you use would rate 565-585hp on engine dyno and 525-540rwhp (pump gas) higher HP options available with camshaft & valve spring change will add $450.00."

Its long block upgrade #2.
If its even close, thats amazing for $6300, or even add the $450 for more hp.

I can believe their engine dyno numbers, but only losing 40-45 horses through a T56 and axle? That's optimistic. More realistic to assume at least a 12% loss, assuming you use synthetic lubes in the T56 and axle.
