Tea 1.5 And Cam Problems?
No, I am not complaining about you 'throwing rocks'
I just made the post after reading all the crap posted against TEA lately.
People questioning the relationship between TEA and SAM (like TEA could not produce a good head without SAMs help) (which is BS) is just an example.
Another example is the mis-information going around here that TEAs heads basically drop dead after .500" lift numbers is more BS, to say the least!

Thank you for your reply brent and yes you are right a/f and timing. What can you do for me and superslow about our heads please?
I don't think for one second that it's the heads.
Iam not trying to throw any rocks, iam just trying to get help with my problem and so far I have gotten help
Chevydan has the same setup with the same problems.?? And like every one else is saying its not that common for a car with these heads and this cam to make only close to 400hp and 400tq
I read somthing earler today where someone said they
made 443hp or some thing like that.. With this setup.
Iam not trying to put down TEA I like there heads if i dident like them I wouldent have bought them in the first place but now that there on iam not geting the power gain's I schould be geting.... Don't no whats wrong just not working out for me the way i planned.
These heads are not cheep I saved for long time to get enough money to get there heads and cam for my car from TEA and if they are not working up to parr on my car and Chevydans car then I guess we schould just send them back so that they can fix the problem..
As other experienced H/C owners-wrenchers have stated...don't get too excited and pull the heads just yet....
There are MANY reasons your car could be down on power. 1st things 1st....the TUNE is the most important factor in any given combo of mods. PERIOD. There are many things that can(and should) be tweaked to bring out every last drop of power.
I'm not saying that your tune is bad, just that even the best tunes require additional tweaking. As an example: I was running a well known H/C bolt on combo in my pig and could only muster 373/373, and was told it was the heads....the cam...the motor was a dog...blahblahblah. Went home with my tail between my legs and went to work on the basics. As stated by Brent,(though others may disagree with my results),the only change I made to my set up was a new chain and gearset....I went from 373 to 391. 18 rwhp from a chain swap. Imagine that....
I then re-tuned with the same tuner. He was able to get 415.4/405.2 through a 10 bolt. Added a 12 bolt to the car....redyno'd at 405/394. Same tuner made a few adjustments and got it back to 416.4/406.2......through the 12 bolt AND slicks. This was with a small cam(T1), AND..... TEA heads. Imagine THAT
With that said, go over your combo w/a fine tooth comb....you may find the problem is not the heads. Have you degree'd in the cam? Has it been cam doctor'd to insure it is what the cam card says it is? Is there a mile of slack in the chain? A/F?, timing?, TM? Is the cam matched to the heads? Too many variables to automatically assume TEA *****'d ya. Again, as stated by others(excluding Mr. Mods coming soon), TEA provides a QUALITY product at a FAIR price. Too many satisfied customers to prove otherwise(even for the haters). If after you've done your homework and have concluded it may be in the heads, I'm absolutely certain and willing to bet Brian/Brent will correct the problem(if indeed there is one).
In closeing, I'd like to say.....real world experience is where you'll find the truth....NOT the internet. There have been way too many magical H/C combo's out there of late that produce a gazillion rwhp for the vendor. Doesn't mean you will ever see it in your car. Do your homework. Learn why certain combo's make power while others fall short. I really believe that if you mythodically go over your current combo, you will find the missing power. Good luck
ne14a6t9......have you learned nothing since the last time we spoke?

Only pull your heads off and send them back to TEA as a very last resort, try tuning again and add the TB and Pulley, you will be right where you should be.
