Default Bbk intake

I have a buddy of mine that is trying to sell me a BBK intake. Is it the same as a LS6 or better. I have a stock car so would it hurt me to get and put it on now or should I just wait till I get a Head & Cam package. I have a 98. I was thinking I could but it on and run it till I get a head & cam package and wouldn' t have to upgrade to a fast. Also what would be a good TB to run with that intake.

i have one i think they look great plus from what i hear from a few good ls1 tuners is that its slightly better then the ls6. mine came with a professional products TB... u can find them on byunspeed.com

only drawback on this intake is probably that is a bit heavy and the ticking from the injectors is slightly louder.

Depending on price I'd think it's a good intake, but there is much better out there. I have an aluminum intake now and I'm not too fond of it. The thing holds heat like you wouldn't beleive. It's not so bad seeing as how I spray the car, but it didn't cost me anything either. The BBK should be about as good as a LS6 or slightly better only if it's cheaper then an LS6, that's my 2 cents.

pay more money to see slight gains...hmmm stay with the ls6 send it to a good porter and the money u where going to waist on the bbk u just made that ls6 intake only touchable by a FAST 78. then again you'll do what u want and if looks its what ur looking for then the bbk is the best choice you'll ever make.

for cheap i dont see anythin wrong with the ebay typhoon one with a 85mm tb, i havent used it yet, but ive seen some run it and like it better than the ls6 intake.. however the fast 90 is still better in just about everybodys book.. id use a ls6 or the typhoon personally if im on a budget.

Get it over the LS1 for sure, at a good price of course!
