Question Actual CC Measurements of LS6/LS2 243 Intake Port Measurements and LS1 Intake Ports

I see the published size of 210cc for the 243 ls2/ls6 heads and 200cc for the ls1 but I see conflicting numbers for both in stock form from various porters who say they have measured the stock ports - some claim the ls1 heads are 215cc stock??? if that is true the 243 ports could be smaller and therefore have more velocity...anyone that has measured please post and how you blocked off the spark plug hole. thanks

Port volume isn't directly related to airspeed, Cross Sectional Area (CSA) is. With that said, mass produced OE heads could have slight manufacturing variations which would increase port volume, without having a significant effect on the important CSA, such as depth of the valvejob into the port.

Blocking off the spark plug hole doesn't affect port volume measurements, only chamber volume. Best way to do it is with the spark plug you intend to use on the running engine.

When I've seen them tested, the 241's were 204cc, and the 243's were 211.
