About 2 years ago i had my engine rebuilt ever since i got it back my low oil pressure gauge it has been reading low about 20psi at idle and when i would punch it would go as high as 45psi at first i tought nothing about it but yesterday after a few runs my oil pressure gauge was reading a 0psi at idle and would punch it and it would only go 20psi it has a ls6 ported oil pump, i use rp 10w 30 any advice would be good.

 

Nobody? well i been drive in it all over the city these past few days and nothing oh quick question where do u connect a manuel autometer oil pressure gauge to?

 

Doesn't sound good to me. 20 psi at idle is low...my engine is typically 35-40 psi at idle. If you went to zero....that is a real problem. I wouldn't drive it until I got it figured out.

 

20 at idle isnt bad but its not great either, its the 45 at WOT id be worried about. the spec is about 8PSI per 1000 RPMs.
