Default lq4 build

I have a stock lq4 being shot with a 100 shot of NOS in my 99 Silverado right now. Truck has a 5 speed and 3.42 gears with a locker and slapper bars. It is alot of fun, but the 5 speed just ain't wanting to be speed shifted. I'm going to be installing a T-56 6 speed in the near future. Probably upgrade the rear end to 3.73 gears and a aftermarket locker.

Questions on the motor. Are the internals forged? My computer can take a cam up to 220 duration. I'm going to swap some 243 heads on the motor to bump up the compression to run a bigger cam and get more compression. I'm just looking for a combo that will allow me to have fun on the street and do some rolling burnouts, pull the chevelle to the track, maybe run the truck down the track some.

Anyone have a good lq4 combo? Say compression around 10 to 1 or 10.3 to 1 that will get you around 430 horse at the crank.

Thanks

You will need torque... (Swap out your heads and intake with L92's / L76) + (cam ground with Comp XER lobes 220 / 228, PRC Gold spings) = 10:1 static, DCR of ~8.0 and 430HP to the ground easy with no spray...

Hey thanks.

What is a NI crank? Nitrated?

Also never heard of the XER line. Comp has so many lines. I will look into it.

I would think that a 220/23x would be more suited for those L92 heads....
