You need an adjustable pushrod. Rather then buying the pushrods with the cam, but the adjustable and once things are back together you can measure. This will ensure the correct preload on the lifters. Also, LS1howto has a lot of issues when doing this job. Don't follow their method for removal and installation of the harmonic damper (pulley) and here is the correct way to tighten the rockers once it is back together.

You can use a three jaw puller, but fully remove the bolt and don't use the bolt to push on with the puller (this is what LS1howto says to do and this method can result in damaged crank threads). Instead, put a socket against the crankshaft snout and push on the socket, which in turn is pushing on the end of the crankshaft. This way, you are not loading the threads while removing the pulley. To install, make a tool. Costs around $20 and will make installation much easier without any thread damage. If you do a search on damaged crank threads, you will see what I mean. Here is the tool I made with a threaded rod, some nuts and washers. Works great. To use, remove the nut on the right side, install the pulley onto the crank and then thread this tool in all the way until it bottoms. Loosen 1/2 turn and then tighten the nuts and washers using the double nut on the left to keep the threaded rod from turning. It will press the pulley on very easily. A little grease on the threads where the nut and washers are make it easier to turn.
