Just replaced my rear seal. Looks like the seal went in to far on the passenger side( a little below the rear cover), will this cause a leak? I'm scared to take it back out for fear of damanging it. But donot want to reinstall tranny and take it back out.

 

Probably. Those things are somewhat tricky to install. Better safe than sorry.

Buy a new one and start over.
