Hell with those heads, you will make well over 500rwhp for sure. LS3 is the way to go these days from the looks of it. I am curious to see what they do, because I may move in that direction also. Your cam is about the same as mine, haven't seen any numbers personally with a big cam/L92 heads/408. I am curious on what the number will turn out to be...

Goal is 500 so long as I hit it is enough for me.

I have to say and don't FLAME ME, but from the reseach I've done I don't know why I didn't go this route to begin with. I got such a sweet deal with the LS6 Pat2s but should've sold them. I got to say, yes AFRs, TFS heads are the way to go for proven hp#s but the future is LS3/LS7 for 4.0+ bores. For the $$ I spent the LS3 cnc ported heads are better than those LS1 type of heads, just like the passing of the LT1, time has come on LS1. WAIT not kocking ANY ls1 with real HP, but just think the aftermarket head companies have most likely already drawn plans for the LS3 type heads. The future could see maybe 370+ cfm. From what I've seen and waisted time $$ on. If you have LS1 catherdral type heads then fine stick with them, if not sell them to the guy with a 346. I found a local shop with a track TA 80e 408 with LS3 heads making 480 with a stall. That's just a fun car, not a competative car on a circuit. So to you guys sending me PMs about your setup, dump your LS1 heads and go LS3 for the 4.0 bore guys. If you already have your setup making 500, cool! But you know in the back of your mind the time is ticking away and your thoughts going to LS3 type of set up is a matter of time.

Again, opinions is like an anus, everybody has one. This is just mine or anus talking or the Corona's I've had...

I like your post and agree the future is LS3/LS7 Heads. But I would like to see what numbers you put down First . When are you finishing the setup and going to the dyno?

Can't get there soon enough. Ordering the heads today and it takes a week to get them. Then I'll need to confirm the cc and order the head gaskets. Figure 2-3 weeks.

I wish I could go LS7, there I would use stock castings. However, I think I need a min 4.1 bore to use the LS7.
