any info would be great. i dont have the time or know how to do a cam yet but i can do rockers. just want to know some info, how much power you get and what i need if i do them. also woudl it effect tuning....everything and anything you guys know would be great
The Jesels, Comps, T & D's, SLP's , & Yella Terras are all expensive. Say $450 to $800 depending on how much you want to spend for new stuff.
The 1.7 rollers might be worth a 2-3 rwhp with a stock cam. The 1.85's might be worth 4-6rwhp with a stock cam. The 1.85's aren't recommended with many of the popular high lift cams that are used like the TR-220, TR-224, C2, X1 & G5 family.
The stronger aftermarket 1.7 rockers would add some piece of mind over the stock rockers with the high lift and duration cams. I don't think the aftermarket rollers are going to be worth much power in most of our set ups just added relability with aftermarket cams.

On my heads and cam car I have stock rockers at the moment. It's one of those feel good mods to do with extra $$$ IMO.
With that said, I did pick up a set of used Jesel's for a good price.
At say $450 that's what 3/4 of what a cam install kit goes for on sale or pretty close to it.

im running the stock rockers too and with the price of aftermarket rockers your almost into the price for a good cam.also a cam install isnt that hard, since your on a budget when you do get a cam consider doing the install yourself.

Well, I would have loved to replaced them all with some aftermarkets, but the budget didnt allow it, so I just got an extra that a buddy had to put it on for now. I think I will be pulling the valve covers again soon to check on them...
Over at Vinci Hi Peformance in Orlando, they've seen gains between 15-20 HP when isntalling the Crane gold roller rockers.
I know one adavantage the Crane rockers have is they are very quiet, so you won't get any rocker noise tripping the knock sensor. This is a problem you have to watch out for in other roller rockers.
