and NO i can't imagine throwing a cai on a car would throw your tune out of whack. all it is doing is getting cooler air....and a mild amount of "ram air" at higher speeds.

the engine is designed to adjust to that.

Any more info to back that up? I had a K&N open element on mine and gained 1mph at the same track the same night swapping back to the stock lid and paper filter *shrug* (10 minutes MAX between three back to back hotlaps with each.)

I'm looking into getting an SSRA and slp lid to try next

so whats best for the ss hood? i heard the free intake mods work pretty well too, i'm just not too crazy about hacking up random crap under my hood.
