The PF59 has an anti-drainback valve, the PF58 doesn't. I think the PF58's have been discontinued. SDPC sells the PF59's for $2.39.

That's my understanding as well (no antidrainback valve on PF58). Either will work fine on an LS1 since our filter mounting position does not require the valve. Maybe Patman or someone over at bobistheoilguy.com can confirm...

It's true, the 58 has no ADBV. It is not totally necessary, but it still helps you get faster oil flow on startup, as it holds the oil above the filter on shutdown. Without the ADBV, this little bit of oil (about 100-200ml) would not stay there, it would flow back into the pan.

Hello Patman Thank's for the reply.
I have another question Is the K&N That much better than the GM PF59?
Money is not an option When it comes to T\A's Blood.
Thank's in Advance.

The K&N is definitely better than the AC Delco, it will flow considerably more oil. Oil flow is the most critical function of an oil filter on a hard driven high horsepower car.
