I consider big, a 239* and larger duration cam.

Most aftermarket cams are in the .600 lift range, even the 224's are almost .600 lift. So I consider the long duration cams "large".

Yea, mid sized cams are 228/228 up to 239/239 IMO. I run a "large" by some peoples ideas, in a 242/248. Though I really think large are the 252/260 type guys with strokers and/or solid rollers.

240+ duration at .050 is big, with the latest spring technology and ramps rates large lifts are attainable with LS engines. BTW-that looks like a cam outa one of my pump engines.

Alot depends on the engine size I had a 632 with a 266/276 .712 112 and it idled smooth and I have also had a 441 lsx with a 252/266 .656 112 that was pretty mellow too, but if you put that in a 346 it would be rough as hell

i think it comes down to the person honestly. i have a 226 in mine and i think its too small now. this winter i will be going with a 230+ with some heads. the only way you will be able to say for urself if it is too big or not is to drive in a car with the cam. listening to what everyone says will not help you

Considering it needs torque and good usable power, I bet its a reverse split.
