any ideas on what type of piston I should do, Because Im looking at doing a higher compression motor, but still run pump gas. Ill be running a few gallons of race gas on the hit though.

im thinking about a 347 build to. But u kno the stock bottom end is good for a 200shot.

^yeah, but nitrous is addicting. I want a motor that can handle a bunch of 200+shots.

im building a 347 as we speak hopefully have it done by this weekend my set up

stock ls1 block
stock ls1 crank
ls7 lifters
ls6 ported oil pump
-4cc valve relief 3.908 bore mahle pistons power pak
scat h-beam rods
Advanced Induction custom grind camshaft
Advanced Induction ported 241 heads 59cc
Fast 90 setup
150 to 200 shot on a 11.5.1 compression ratio

awesome build, just wondering if you did any work to the block? did you get it lined or honed?

edit- my bad i see where you said 347 now.

I was looking at going with -4cc valve relief 3.905 bore mahle pistons.

pending on money when the motor is finished. Im either going to do a 150 plate, with a 50 to 100 nozzle. If I have enough money when the motor is finished, I am going to do a DP kit.

Sorry should have went into more detail. I have a TT setup that makes 850 rwhp on the high boost setting...but for normal every day use I don't use the boost controller and with just the 8.75 lbs wastegate springs make approximately 600 rwhp. The tune is setup for the 18# boost setting so the low boost setting isn't really even optimized.

I wouldnt switch the stock crank out on any of these engines. I and about 10 people we have built engine for and with are all high 8xx hp vehicles and are all running stock cranks.

yeah i think its a waste of money. if you want it for piece of mind knowing its completely forged go ahead but if it were me id spend the good chunk of money elsewhere
