What do I need to buy with a cam

What do I need to buy with a cam I want to buy a cam and I don't know what else I will need to buy(like push rods or anything like that). Can ya'll help me out? What is the best cam? I am looking at a TSP Custom 224 Cam: 224/224, .566"/.566", 114 LSA.

You will need Valve springs, pushrods wont hurt, and LS1 Edit tuning would be the best. While your in there you mine as well do a timing chain as well. depending on milage a oil pump wouldnt hurt. Good luck.
with that cam (im thinking of getting it myself 
) you can run a single spring fine, i'd recommend the manley kit from SDPC, comes with springs and tit. retainers for 178. i'd upgrade your pushrods but its not an absolute neccessity.

Get some springs, titanium retainers, a new oil pump, and a timing chain. You don't absolutely need new pushrods, as long as the stock ones are straight. You'll also need tuning after it's all in. jrp, is that cam too big for your liking? Why do you want to go to a smaller cam?

I think you've picked a good cam spec with a comfortable lift. It isn't always about lifting to the Stratosphere to get good power. I'd get some hardened pushrods, titanium retainers and maybe a new timing chain, too. Especially in a 99 car. You can use the Comp 918 springs if you like but some folks may say use a dual. With that lift the 918's should be fine.
