Yes I did, my cam matched my setup better though...

410s
4k VIG (more like a 4500)
free flowing exhaust
ported heads
ported 9090 setup

Blah, blah, blah.... Just saying he should open his options up a bit more.

there ya go. thats the only thing you need to know. custom grind all the way. good setup > giant cam, every time. look at the link lmeons posted, perfect example. and i agree with whoever said go ride around with people from your local clubs. itll give you an idea of whats streetable to YOU. for my friend, his low 230 is fine, for me, ive driven an ms4 in an m6 and i thought it was fine. it all depends on what YOU consider streetable.

I have a TSP 233/239 .598/.603 in a LS3
I would not call it streetable, it is real strong from 4000-6500, but can be tough to get moving from a stop sign, or cruising around town.
I would go 224 intake duration for anything that is 90% street. LS motors run great with small cams, if you have good heads.

^adding to that, smaller cams make a more broad range of power. Big cams tend to have a higher powerband, which is not good if you don't plan on wrapping the motor too high (which is not recommended on a stock motor). You probably want something that makes good power across the board.

HP doesnt mean anything...

My car dynod 320rwhp.. I raced a car the other day that made 425rwhp.. I put 2-2 1/2 lengths on him from 35-125mph..

HP DOESNT MEAN ANYTHING!!!!

A properly matched setup will ALWAYS beat a setup that was just thrown together.. you do NOT need a big cam to be fast and the small cams CAN and DO beat bigger cam'd cars.

look at the link i provided on page 1..

just run a t-rex -ms4- thunders StRoKeR cams or texas giant's ... if that the answers u lookin for ?those big cams only make 10ish more hp over the "middle" cam and cost alot more to get supporting mods... IE injectors... intake, heads... cause those big cams need air flow..... if not.. u have a polished up nice sounding turd that only does 12's

Make sure you get a custom grid that is suitable for your set up. I had Futral Motorsports spec out my cam based on the intended application. The engine runs great NA (low to high rpm's...no dog down low) and it just loves the juice. I consider the car to be very streetable, but it's not something your mother would probably enjoy riding in.

I have a huge cam also.. Sounds awesome but my old custom PatG 224/230 was for sure faster.

On the other hand though. I think they are both streetable just like a small cam. Never had a single problem I think it is all in the tune.

We have tons of options, give us a call so we can discuss your options & goals. I also have tons of dyno test only camshafts you can buy at a pretty nice discount!!

Well my Ms4 was DEFINITELY faster.. and a LOT more potential.. But this cam gets its done and can definitely be as fast as some other not so well setup big cam cars..

My ms4 tune is better than my 226 tune..
